We launched Jay S Arnold Consulting in 2017 in response to increasing requests for help from businesses and individuals who are committed to improving their revenue and profit goals while growing their employee base and expanding their market share.
We lead by applying more than 25 years of experience and expertise in business to help individuals and groups achieve their goals.
We have served on advisory boards and provided consulting services to companies from India to Indiana, from Texas to Tennessee, and from the Pacific Coast to the Atlantic Coast.
Jay Arnold was part of a team that developed one of the first online geospatial search engines while he served as a research assistant at LSU during his graduate school program.
This experience provided him the skills to become the GIS Manager and then the Vice President of GIS Services at 3001, Inc.
He was part of the management team that guided 3001's growth from 30 employees to 300 and its eventual merger with Northrop Grumman.
He then co-founded 3K3, LLC, a consulting firm for federal contractors and other companies wanting to expand in government contracting, utilities, and infrastructure markets.
Jay also served as Vice President of Business Development for Magnolia River during a pivotal time, helping them focus, grow, and expand across business lines and geographic territories, increasing from 35 to 300 employees in less than six years. This phenomenal success was recognized by "The Complete Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest Growing Companies," and also is evidenced by ranking as the 9th fastest growing company in the Tennessee Valley over a three-year period during his tenure.
We built Jay S Arnold Consulting on a strong foundation of executive-level management experience across a rich field of industries.
We are affiliated with industry leaders and experts in business development and sales, service and product delivery, operations management, and systems support.
Jay's background includes formal education with bachelor's degrees in Advertising and Geography, a master's degree in GIS & Remote Sensing, and additional university courses in Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Business.
Our leadership experience includes helping grow two different companies each from three dozen to three hundred people, strengthening their profit margins, and diversifying their core competencies and geographic footprints.
To accomplish these goals, we helped lead acquisitions of multiple companies and also built in-house capacity and experience through rigorous organic growth plans, strategic plans, business development processes, and well-executed, team-based implementations.
Jay also founded and helps manage multiple LLCs focused on niche markets, including: federal government A/E/C and defense contracting, financial investing, aircraft operations, real-estate, and high-end sporting goods, hunting, and fishing.

With a small group of key managers he hired, and with a minimal production staff, they built a highly respected team that was ahead of its time in the private sector. From this humble beginning under Jay’s tutelage, we grew the GIS division to more than 60 technicians, and we completed projects in the millions of dollars. The integration of GIS with our other disciplines allowed 3001, Inc. to grow to over 150 employees who performed projects in the multi-million-dollar range for local, state, and Federal agencies. After my retirement, they continued to expand and flourish, reaching over 300 employees and $50M in annual revenues before selling and merging the company into Northrop Grumman, a leading defense and technology corporation with over 100,000 employees."
